Preliminary Rounds are round robin style (8 groups of 8 people, everyone in the group plays each other once)

(Note: From 16:00-18:00, free matches are allowed as long as they do not interfere with the progression of the tournament)

Tournament Rules

  1. Two stock games with a 6 minute timer

  2. Matches are best two out of three

  3. Double elimination style tournament (there is a winners and a losers bracket)

  4. All items are off

  5. You can customize your controller configuration

  6. No Custom moves

  7. No pausing

  8. Mii Fighter is allowed with default moveset (1-1-1-1)

  9. Standard tournament stages are allowed

Please note that if you pause the game during a match, you automatically lose that round. The same goes for if you hit the Wii U Home or Power Button. In the event of a power outage/surge, the players will discuss with each other how to restart the match once the power is restored. If players cannot decide on how the match will resume, please call a staff member over to resolve it.

Venue Rules

  1. Bringing food and drink is allowed

  2. No smoking

  3. Do not be excessively loud with game or talking volume

  4. You must bring your trash home with you

  5. Other residents live in the building, so refrain from talking in the common spaces.


Registration opens at 21:00 on October 29 and closes at 23:59 on November 16. Please note that there are 64 competitor spots and 10 spectator spots available. If you need to cancel your participation in the tournament after registering, please message @yokosuma1117 on Twitter as soon as possible.
